In order to provide new University staff and students with useful information about the wide variety of IT services supported by Information Technology Services (ITS), a series of orientation activities will be arranged. These activities will commence from late August 2017 and will run until mid-September 2017.

All new University members are welcome to join.

1. Orientation Seminars

The seminar on "Introduction to Information Technology Services (ITS)" gives an introduction of the comprehensive central IT and network services offered by ITS.

Besides the introductory session, users can choose to attend the following orientation seminars to learn more about specific services provided by ITS:

  • Use of AV/IT Equipment in Central Classrooms (for staff)
  • Introduction of Moodle Learning Management System and Panopto Lecture Capture System (for students)
  • About the University’s Research Support Computing Environment and the HPC/HTC Facilities (for staff and students)
  • Introduction on IP Telephony and Video Conferencing Services (for staff)

3. Exhibition Booth

An exhibition booth will be arranged in the first two weeks of the first semester (Sep 1 - Sep 9, 2016) with display boards showing the core IT Services, in particular the support for teaching and learning and research with University.
