Overview

To facilitate departments in keeping track of their software licenses acquired to ensure legitimate use of computer software, Software Asset Management (SAM) system is set up. The system provides two functions:

  1. Maintain updated inventory records for departments' software licenses.
  2. Provide a tool for identifying software installed in individual PCs.

The SAM system will help to keep track of software installed in various PCs which belong to the Department, Facilities, University which run on MS Windows operating system.
