Reset your HKU Portal PIN if your account is locked due to password ageing

NOTE: The password policy for HKU Portal PIN has been updated by withdrawing the requirement of 180-day periodic password change starting from February 18, 2019. If your HKU Portal account is deactivated due to password ageing before February 18, 2019, please follow the reactivation procedure below to reset it.

1. If your account is temporarily disabled due to password ageing, you will see a "Login failed" message as shown below when you attempt to login HKU Portal.  Please click the link "Change your PIN now"

2. In the Reset HKU Portal PIN page, type your HKU Portal UID, current HKU Portal PIN and the few random letters or digits generated in the graphical image (captura) which is used to prevent robotic malicious programs from filling out the online form.  After entering the required information, click "Submit".

3. Enter a NEW PIN in the HKU Portal PIN field as shown below. The PIN must be of 10-18 characters, with at least one letter (a-z, A-Z) and one digit (0-9).

4. User will see the confirmation message below after the new PIN is accepted. The new PIN will be effective in 10 minutes.
