User Guide on High Definition Video Conferencing


High Definition Video Conferencing is a web-based application for manage bookings and schedule meetings on the ITS video conferencing services. Multipoint control unit (MCU) deployed to provide the capability for attendees to participate in a virtual meeting by using two or more video conferencing devices (endpoints).

Multi-platform conferencing: Support many Room-based video conference endpoints, web-based applications Scopia Desktop (PC & Mac), Scopia mobile v3 (Android & Iphone) or Cisco IP telephones 9951 and 8945 (6921 for audio only) can be used to connect participants to a virtual meeting room.

Only HKU users who have registered in our service can make bookings and hosting a conference, but anyone around the world can be invite to join the conference.

  1. Create Ad-Hoc Conference by using Personal Meeting Room
  2. Join a meeting from in-campus endpoints, off-campus endpoints or by phone
