Why I cannot open protected office document via office applications?

For Windows users, make sure you are installed with Office 2013/2016.

For Mac users, make sure you are installed with Office 2016.

You are also required to sign in your Office application using your @hku.hk account by the following procedure:

1. On the top right corner, click Sign in. If you see the name you used for your @hku.hk account, you have already signed in.
2. Type the email address (@hku.hk) and password you use with Office.

If you still cannot open the protected office document, please check with the document owner whether he/she has granted at least view-only permission to your account.
