ITS held the “Information Security Awareness Exhibition 2014” at the G/F foyer of the Chi Wah Learning Commons between 24-28 March 2014 to raise the information security awareness of the University community. Information on IT security was displayed at the exhibition booths to give useful tips on protection of sensitive and confidential information. Visitors to the exhibition were invited to participate in an online quiz, which covers the following aspects of information security:
- Cyber security
- Data leakage prevention
- Email security
- Malware protection
- Password security
- Phishing protection
341 participants participated in the quiz and about 43% of them attained a full mark. The score distribution is shown in Table 1 and the Pie Chart (Chart 1).

A Lunch Time Seminar on information security was also held on March 25. Security consultants from Ernst & Young Advisory Services Ltd. were invited as guest speakers to share their advices on enhancing information security in a university environment and in the cyber-world at large. The seminar was well received with 43 participants.
