We are pleased to inform you that uPrint system has been upgraded on 3 August 2019 which brings in the following new features:
New print client – an enhanced version which is easier to use for printing from notebook PCs
Download the new print client at https://www.its.hku.hk/documentation/guide/tl/lc/uprint (please remove any previously installed uPrint client from your PCs before installation).
To facilitate transition, the previous uPrint client installed before 3 August 2019 will continue to work until end of 2019. You are advised to install and start using the new version now.
Web Printing - a new way for express printing using any web browser via https://enquiry.uprint.hku.hk
Web Printing supports the most common file types including MS Office, PDF, JPG, PNG, TIF and TXT within a size of 10MB. Users can also check their print and purchase history via the same URL. More details at https://www.its.hku.hk/documentation/guide/tl/lc/uprint2019/webprint.
With the introduction of Web Printing, printing via the app “FXHK AMDP” will retire from service with immediate effect.
Besides, the uPrint service will soon be extended to Libraries to support all library users and we are assisting Libraries to replace their printers within August 2019. After that, staff and students can use the uPrint service in the Libraries, on top of the current locations at the Chi Wah Learning Commons, The Oval, The Curve and some faculty-based PC labs.
