Email Account Validity for Departed Staff

The grace period for the email and HKU Portal accounts of departed staff members who will leave the University on or after April 1, 2021 has been shortened from 100 days to 30 days.

This is a measure to mitigate the cybersecurity risk exposure on the University’s IT systems and campus network while the present administrative process for handling staff departure is kept.
