IT plays a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning activities of the University. We manage the virtual and physical learning spaces and strive to develop an inspiring, vibrant and technology-rich teaching and learning environment for teachers and students.
We support Moodle Learning Management System which tightly integrates with the Student Information System to provide up-to-date course information. Moodle is a rich e-learning platform supporting the functions of Forum, Assignments, Choice for Tutorial Selection, etc. and is integrated with Turnitin plugin for plagiarism checking and GradeMark.
Panopto Lecture Capture System is used for recording lectures and events for subsequent viewing by students. Panopto integrates with Moodle through which recorded lectures can be uploaded and associated with the respective Moodle courses automatically.
Apart from Moodle and Panopto, a variety of online platforms and tools are available to support online teaching to augment face-to-face teaching activities such as video conferencing and recording solutions Zoom and Microsoft Teams and video editing tool Camtasia. Please click here for details.
Learning Environment designs and manages
