2020/12/24 00:00 (Thursday) - 2020/12/26 22:00 (Saturday) - Upgrade of HKU Portal for Staff and Human Capital Management System

There will be a scheduled system upgrade of the HKU Portal for Staff and the Human Capital Management System (HCMS) during the Christmas holidays from December 24, 2020 (Thursday) 00:00 to December 26, 2020 (Saturday) 22:00. This upgrade is primarily for improving the system architecture and there is no HCMS functional change on the user side. For navigation on the HKU Portal after the upgrade, please reference the HKU Portal Navigation User Guide (http://www.sisandhcm.hku.hk/local/hcms/help/docs/HKU_Portal_User_Guide.pdf).

Access to both systems will be temporarily unavailable as listed below:

1. Dec 24 00:00 - Dec 24 05:00:
The HKU Portal for Staff and the HCMS will be temporarily unavailable.

2. Dec 24 05:00 - Dec 26 04:00:
The HKU Portal for Staff is back in service, only the HCMS services remain unavailable.

3. Dec 26 04:00 - Dec 26 22:00:
The HKU Portal for Staff and the HCMS will be temporarily unavailable.

Staff can access the central email and calendar service via https://webmail.hku.hk and Moodle via https://moodle.hku.hk when upgrade is being carried out.
