2014/05/11 06:00 (Sunday) - 2014/05/11 07:00 (Sunday) - Maintenance of Extranet and non-SIS Student applications

A scheduled maintenance on the system supporting Extranet (https://extranet.hku.hk) and non-SIS student applications (https://sweb.hku.hk/) during the following period:

Date: 2014/05/11 (Sunday)
Time: 6:00am - 7:00am
Affected applications: TPG/RPG online applications, student applications under my page of HKU Portal and password reset application on https://extranet.hku.hk/.

Each of the affected services will be suspended for less than 30 minutes. Users are advised not to access these services during this maintenance period.

Please note that there will be a scheduled maintenance of the www4.hku.hk, intraweb.hku.hk, www.hkusu.hku.hk, www.its.hku.hk web servers during the following period:

Date: 6 May 2014
Time: 3:30pm - 5:00pm

During the above period, the access to www4.hku.hk, www.maps.hku.hk, www.see.hku.hk, centcampus.hku.hk, and intraweb.hku.hk, www.siri.hku.hk, www.ziri.hku.hk, www.hkusu.hku.hk may be suspended for approximately 15 to 30 minutes

2014/04/20 00:00 (Sunday) - 2014/04/20 03:00 (Sunday) - Maintenance of Cisco IP phone Service (Tel. no. 3917-XXXX)

Please note that there will be a scheduled maintenance of the Cisco IP phone Service (Tel. number 3917-XXXX) during the following period:

Date: 20 Apr 2014 (Sunday)
Time: 12am midnight to 3am

Users with telephone numbers 3917-XXXX will be affected. These IP phones are now in use in the Centennial Campus, Main Campus, Lung Wah Street Student Residences, Patrick Mansion Building and the LKS Faculty of Medicine Building.

During the maintenance, the servers will be rebooted in sequence, resulting in intermittent interruptions to the telephone service.

There will be several intermittent interruptions during the maintenance period, each about 3 - 5 minutes. During the interruption, new call cannot be made or received.

Please note that PCCW will carry out scheduled maintenance on the IDAP links installed in FMB.

Affected Phone numbers: 2809 5xxx and 2819 9xxx, 2819 26xx, 2819 28xx
Interruption Time: up to 30 minutes between 2:00 am to 03:00 am. All current calls and new calls will be interrupted.

Dear Colleagues,

Please note that there will be a scheduled network migration of the administrative servers supporting the University’s financial applications during the following period:

Time: 7:00am - 9:00am
Services affected: All financial applications under HKU Portal

During the above period, there may be short intermittent 1-2 minute interruptions to the affected services. In case you encounter any problem after the maintenance, please report to our Computer Room at 2859-2496 during non-office hours.

2014/03/02 00:00 (Sunday) - 2014/03/02 12:00 (Sunday) - Maintenance of Central Servers Supporting Intranet Applications

Please note that there will be a scheduled upgrade of the central servers supporting the Universitys Intranet applications during the following period:

Date: 2 March 2014 (Sunday)

Time: Midnight - 1 pm

Services to be affected:

- Intranet services including Staff Communication Directory, EO Intranet and FEO Intranet
- Applications under HKU Portal including “Central IT Services” and some applications under Self Service and Manager Self Service
- My eLearning tab of HKU Portal (colleagues can access the Moodle system directly at http://moodle.hku.hk/)
- My Department/My Faculty tab of HKU Portal

During the upgrade, access to the above services will be suspended. The HCMS and SIS applications under HKU Portal will not be affected by this upgrade.
