The University is embarking on an initiative of implementing the University-wide Information Security and Data Management (“ISDM”) Policy for strengthening the University’s information security protection and data management capabilities. The briefing session will enable our University staff members to understand the aim, importance and work involvements of the ISDM Policy implementation at different levels of the University organization. The briefing session will also discuss the concept of 3-level defence and data classification scheme in the ISDM Policy.
Topics covered will include the followings:
Background, governance and operating organisation of the ISDM policy
Introduction to the Data Classification Scheme
Functions and roles of Data Owner, Data Steward, Data Custodian and Data User
Basic principles of Data Management
The ISDM Policy Website
