Check IP address

For Windows 10:

  1. Click Search Windows search  to open the search menu. 
  2. Type cmd and then click Command Prompt.
  3. On the black command window appears, type in ipconfig /all and hit the Enter key.
  4. Under the Ethernet adapter Ethernet section, if DHCP Enabled is Yes, mark your IP address as DHCP; if DHCP Enabled is No, look for IPv4 Address.

For Windows 7:

  1. Click Windows Start start.
  2. Under Search programs and files, type cmd and press Enter when you see the program cmd.exe.
  3. Once a black command window appears, type in ipconfig /all and hit the Enter key.
  4. Under the Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection section, if DHCP Enabled is Yes, mark your IP address as DHCP; if DHCP Enabled is No, look for IPv4 Address.
