For General User – User Guide on Using SharePoint Calendar

1. Schedule an event in calendar

  1. Go to the site which you want to schedule an event in calendar. https://.workspace.hku.hk/sites//
  2. Open the SharePoint calendar.
  3. On the Calendar Tools tab, click EVENTS to open the gallery of commands specific to the calendar.

  5. On the ribbon, click the New Event button new event.

  7. Enter TitleStart TimeEnd Time and other information you like, and then click Save button save.

2. Open SharePoint calendar using Microsoft Outlook

  1. Go to the site which you want to open the SharePoint calendar using Microsoft Outlook. https://.workspace.hku.hk/sites//
  2. Open the SharePoint calendar.
  3. On the Calendar tab to open the gallery of commands specific to the calendar.

  5. On the ribbon, click the Connect to Outlook button connect to outlook.

  7. Click Allow button.

  9. Click Yes button.

  11. Login with your hkucc-com\UID and password, and then click OK.

  13. The SharePoint calendar opened in Microsoft Outlook.
