If teachers want to access OLEX (HKU Online Examination System) in a student view, please create a student guest account under the My eLearning tab of HKU Portal by following the steps below:
Click “Grant access To Guest” icon next to the corresponding Moodle course in which you would like to see the OLEX course exam page as a student.
Enter your non-HKU email address under Part A – Add User-based Guest Account. Select the radio button “Student” next to “Guest’s role”.
If the indicated email address has NOT been registered as a User-based Guest Account in any Moodle course, you will be prompted to fill in the guest account information – email address, first name, last name and Moodle account password. The Moodle account password MUST include at least 8 characters with at least 1 digit(s) and 1 lower case letter(s), 1 upper case letter(s) and 1 non-alphanumeric character(s).
After you finish step 2, your guest account will be created in 2 hours. You can check your guest account status under Grant access to Guest page in My eLearning tab.
After your guest account is created, you can access OLEX as a student in 12 hours after the Moodle account data is synchronized with OLEX.
