Can students use Zoom by just receiving a meeting link?
Yes, participants can join a meeting with a Zoom Join Link. If a meeting is set with a password, they need to input the password for joining.
How to allow only specific participants to join a meeting?
Anyone having the meeting link (or meeting ID) and password (if a meeting password is set) can join a scheduled meeting. One can enable the waiting room to grant access to specific participants only. Another restriction can be set by authenticated users by using HKU Portal UID/PIN to login. Please click here for details.
