We are thrilled to announce the launch of the revamped HKU Portal, offering a more user-friendly and comprehensive digital workplace experience for all staff on 18 March 2024. This upgrade aims to enhance the overall functionality and accessibility of the Portal, which will make it easier for you to access University systems and services. 

Our revamped portal features a widget-based dashboard, allowing users to personalize the format and layout through the settings page. A widget can be displayed or hidden on the dashboard to tailor the Portal to your specific needs.  

With the redesigned navigation menu, frequently used services are easily accessible with a list of common and important links. By clicking “More,” users can find all available Portal links. 

Additionally, the Portal is now available in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. Users can select their preferred language, and the Portal interface and content will be displayed accordingly.  

Another exciting feature is the upgraded universal search bar, which allows staff to easily search for both Portal links and staff contacts. The search results are displayed on a dedicated results page, with the ability to filter and narrow down findings.  

It is important to note that the portal will be suspended from 9pm to 11pm on 17 March 2024 during the transition period. We will not be able to provide you with access to the portal’s features and services during this time. Thank you for understanding.
