We are pleased to inform you that Information Technology Services (ITS) will be implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as an additional security measure for staff, students, and departmental accounts. Please take note of the following important dates and details:
- MFA will be enabled by default for all NEW staff, students, and departmental accounts created
- All staff and students will have the option to voluntarily opt-in to enable MFA for their accounts.
- Mandatory for all staff
- MFA will be required for staff members accessing HKU Portal from outside of the campus.
- MFA will be required for Staff members accessing Personnel File under HCMS
- Remote access to the Virtual PC (VPC) support the authentication with 2FA and MFA in parallel
