Add a Peer Assessment Activity
- Go to the course concerned and click “Turn editing on” on the top right corner to enable the editing mode.
- Select “Add an activity or resource” where you want to create the Peer Assessment activity.
- Select “Peer Assessment“ as the activity type.
Fill in the information of the peer assessment
- Fill in the information of the Peer Assessment activity.
Edit peer assessment settings
- Set the submission dates and time, as well as the due dates and time.
- Depends on whether the nature of the assessment, you may wish to set the maximum number of uploaded files.
- Students can be allowed to self-evaluate by enabling the self-grade setting. If enabled, a student’s self-grade will be counted towards their, and their overall groups’ peer grade averages.
- Assessment criteria settings further allow us to set reveal or hide “grades from peers” and “comments/justifications”.
- Under each criterion, add your brief description and select the grading scale, such as below:
Assess by peers and feedback by tutor
- Students can then rate/assess one another.
- After peer assessment, the course teacher then give a grade for the group and can provide feedback accordingly.
- When everything is ready, the teacher “releases” all the grades to students.
