Overview
Computer abuses can affect the University campus network at large if they are not handled and contained properly. ITS handles the common abuse incidents that include PC virus infection, copyright infringement, suspected hacking, port scanning, account compromise, spam and phishing emails. When complaints/reports on abuse cases are received, alert messages will be sent to the staff/students involved to request for immediate rectification. Network access to the suspected or affected machines will be temporarily suspended to contain the extent of scanning and spreading of virus/trojan horse.
