Turnitin Clarity’s Student Writing Assignments
- Students submit their work within Turnitin Clarity’s writing space instead of uploading an assignment file.
- In the writing space, the student’s writing process, from ideation to the final written submission, is visible to your instructor and shows your “proof of process”.
How to Submit a Turnitin Clarity’s Student Writing Assignment
1. Open Your Assignment
- Navigate to the Student Writing assignment
- Click Start Writing to enter the Turnitin Clarity writing space.
2. Add a Title
- Select the pencil icon in the header at the top of the screen.
- Type your assignment title.
- Click anywhere on the page or press Enter to save.
3. Write and Edit Your Work Using the Writing Space
- Your work auto‑saves as you type.
4. Review Assignment Instructions
- Open the Instructions tab in the side panel to view assignment requirements and due dates.
- Expand or collapse the panel to manage space.
5. AI Tools by Turnitin (Optional tools enabled by your instructor)
- Spelling & Grammar Check
Citation Check
- AI Chat Support
6. Download a Copy (Optional)
- Go to the Menu in the header.
- Select Download to save a PDF of the current version of your work.
IMPORTANT: This does NOT submit your assignment.
7. Submit Your Assignment
IMPORTANT:
To avoid any last‑minute technical problems, we strongly recommend submitting your assignment in advance of the deadline.
- Select Submit in the submission toolbar.
- Wait for confirmation that your document has been successfully submitted.
8. After Submission
- Depending on your instructor’s settings, you may be able to edit and resubmit until the due date.
- You can also review feedback in the same writing space if released.
