Introduction

HKU eNotices is one of the HKU mobile applications which provides a mobile channel for HKU staff and students to read eNotices.

App Menu

  1. Notice Menu: Open the list of eNotices.
  2. Sign In: Login the app to show the list of eNotices for staff/students.
  3. Setting: Open the setting page.
  4. HKU App: If HKU App is installed, it will helps you to open HKU App. If HKU App is not installed, it will open up App Store (iOS)/Google Play (Android to download HKU App.

Access Control

  1. The app will show notices viewable by people with HKU eNotices App installed when it is started.
  2. The app will show the notices for Staff/Students if the users have signed in and return to the app shortly without exiting the app.
  3. The app will show the notices for Staff/Students when it is started and the previous login session is still valid (Android only).

List of eNotices

The eNotices are categorised by the notice types (Urgent Notices/Administrative and Services Notices/General Notices) and shown in the corresponding tabs.
  • Scroll up and down the list of the eNotices in the tab.
  • Press on the entry of the eNotices to view the details of the notice.
  • Pull and then release to refresh the list of eNotices.

Sign In

Login to the app using HKU Portal UID and PIN using the Sign In function
  • Press on the back button to return to the list of eNotices.
  • The login session is valid for 4 hours after signed in.

View eNotices

eNotices in eNotices System are displayed within the app while eNotices linked to the external websites/resources are displayed in the device’s web browser.
  • Press on the back button to return to the list of eNotices.
  • Press on the “view at web browser” button to view the notice in the device’s web browser.
  • Press on the reload button to refresh the notice.
  • Press on “Aa” button to adjust the font size of the notice.
