As Microsoft has changed the authentication mechanism on Oct 1 2022, the legacy protocols like pop3, imap4 will be the end of support on Microsoft outlook client. If you would like to use the legacy protocols, please change to using the thunderbird client.

Note: If you select POP configuration, all your emails will be downloaded from the email server to the local folders of your mail client and you can no longer access your emails via HKU Portal/webmail.hku.hk. It will be very difficult to revert and move your emails back to the email server.
